Sweet Onion Relish

Not unlike caramelized onions, this incredible sweet and mouth-watering relish dish goes great on all things meat, bread, and burger. Serve spoonfuls of this Vidalia onion relish over hot dogs, burgers, or southern fried foods.



1) Heat oil in a large pot over medium-low heat. Add onions and cook until very soft, stirring occasionally, about 10 minutes.

2) Add remaining ingredients; whisk well. Bring to a boil over high heat; lower to a simmer. Cook, uncovered, until thickened, stirring often, about 20 minutes. Cover and chill overnight before serving.
